What is the advantage of

What type of switches can
eBill work with?
eBill can work with any switch, which is able
to give it ASCII-compatible CDRs. eBill is deployed with VoIP
and Softswitches like Sonus, Clarent, Lucent Exs, Telcordia
IGCS (BAF), Cisco and Vocal Tec, Quantum and Lucent and TDM
Switches like Ericsson Axe, Siemens (Adicom), Nortel DMS 250
(Frontline), Voiceware, IP Fax–Netxchange, CMR, Array
Telecom Series, among others.
We have not come across a switch so far with
which we could not work with.
Can eBill support more than
one gateway simultaneously?
Yes, eBill supports multiple gateways simultaneously.
eBill has been deployed in converged billing situations with
both IP and PSTN gateways such as Cisco, Lucent 5 ES, IP Centrex
and other gateways components. eBill has also been configured
for real-time prepaid across multiple gateways for voice and
data services. In this way,it offers converged billing in
multiple services.
Can eBill bill in multiple
currencies and multiple languages?
eBill supports multiple currencies. Customers
are using eBill in US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Mexican Pesos,
the Bangladesh Taka, Vietnam Dong and Indian Rupees.
eBill has been localized to several languages such as Spanish,
French, German, Italian and Korean.
Is eBill Web-enabled?
Yes, eBill is completely Web-based. With the
Web-based version of eBill, you can provide remote access
to your staff, agents and even customers. Customers can use
eBill, remotely via the Web. They can also view their bills
on the Web.
Can eBill support pre-paid
services?
Yes, eBill can support prepaid services. If
the recharge is to be done by a credit card, eBill's automatic
interface with a payment gateway–will perform secure
credit card validations and charge the customer's account
automatically.
Infozech's precall is the solution specifically
designed to meet the need of prepaid operators and services.
Precall allows PIN management. Precall is a complete prepaid
solution for VoIP. It works with industry leading media gateways
and soft switches. The solution manages all aspects of the
prepaid service–right from the generation of calling
cards to their distribution. The solution takes care of the
prepaid service through real-time integration with network
switches for service activation, authentication and debiting
the account balance of users. The solution provides a Web
interface for customers to subscribe to services online and
review their account and usage details in real time.
What payment interfaces does
eBill support?
E-Bill is integrated with various payment
gateways through interfaces like IC Verify, Web Authorise,
Paypal, Verisign, Nashvill, and Tellan. There is a range of
credit cards that can be used as payment vehicles such as
ICICI, American Express, Discover, Diner etc .
Does eBill have the ability
to perform dual rating for Retail and Wholesale at the same
time and present both of these prices on a Statement/invoice?
eBill normally does not print both retail
and wholesale on the same invoice. However, it can bill for
both types of invoices, using multiple rate tables.
This function is addressed by Infozech's ICAS
product. ICAS is a wholesale billing and settlement solution
that enables service providers/carriers to manage their wholesale
customers and interconnecting partners. ICAS allow the service
provider to bill the interconnecting partners/carriers, audit
the bills raised by the carriers and provides insightful reporting
for LCR and rates management.
Does eBill support multiple
services on the same invoice? Can it also provide multiple
products in a single statement?
Yes, eBill supports both multiple products
and services and can show them on a single invoice. Currently
Infozech's customers are using this feature for creating corporate
invoices for multiple services such as Voice, date, IP telephony
and content services.
Does eBill rate and bill
on a daily, weekly and monthly frequency?
Yes, eBill supports multiple billing cycles
and there is no limit on the number of billing cycles that
can be defined.
Can I charge a fee for late
payment?
Yes. eBill can be set up for a late fee charge,
if your customer has not paid the bill by the due date. It
also has the facility of charging a customer for miscellaneous
items e.g., charging for sale of an instrument, software etc.
What is the maximum volume
that eBill can handle? What happens if I outgrow this value?
eBill is a very scalable system which has
been developed using the multi-tiered architecture. eBill
has been successfully deployed across platforms in scalable
environments in Unix and Windows. eBill has been benchmarked
and processed over 250 million transactions per hour, making
it one of the fastest rating engines in the world. It can
process over 2 billion records in an 8-hour cycle which is
much more than what is required by tier-one operators worldwide.
Can eBill perform in a real
time mode?
eBill is set up to give you instant response
for all customer service interactions. In addition, it provides
near real-time call rating and near real-time reporting on
all functions. . eBill can also be configured as a credit
control tool to provide prepaid or real-time monitoring services.
In what language has the
system been developed?
eBill has matured over the last 7 years and
has had three version releases. The current version of eBill
has been written in C++ and Web services platforms.
Does eBill support IVR integration?
Yes, eBill supports IVR integration. It allows
your customers to directly phone in to know the status of
their billing information, call information, payment information
etc. The system can also be configured to provide IVR on an
IP channel. It supports dynamic IP IVR as well.
Can eBill be easily ported
to a different platform and back-end?
eBill is currently available under Windows,
Sun and Linux. eBill's architecture is truly platform agnostic.
It can very quickly be ported to another platform, if required
How long does it take to
implement eBill?
Once the hardware is installed and operational,
it takes only a couple of hours to deploy the software, and
set up the master databases. A typical eBill implementation
cycle varies from 4-24 weeks. In the past, we have also in
our best case, got our customer live in under a week.
What is the support available
for eBill installation? Can you provide remote support?
