Canadian Long Distance Reseller uses Online Payment and Prepaid

The customer
The client, a telco based in Toronto, Canada, provides Long Distance
Calling Services to customers through pre-paid and post-paid calling
cards.
The requirement
The client required a complete billing solution that could be used
as the main back office software. The software needed to cover areas
such as customer maintenance, agent maintenance, billing and payments
and had to interface with the TSP switch used by the client as well
as ICVERIFY for online credit card verification and a variety of
reports.
The challenges
Infozech faced problems in integrating eBill with the ICVERIFY
software, as the complete environment for ICVERIFY could not be
replicated. Data too, had to be imported from and exported
to a TSP switch, which also proved to be a challenge.
The implementation
Initially the client was using eBill for its prepaid cards only.
Now, however, it has been customized to include post paid customers
and support a new service introduced by the client called the Wholesale
service.
The benefits achieved by the customer
Using eBill, the customer was able to achieve the following:
- provide customer maintenance which included Customer Registration
and Accounts/Service assignment
- allow for agent registration and modification
- Export/Import data between eBill and the TSP switch
- recharge the account (undertake online credit card verification
through the ICVerify software)
- generate invoices and print or e-mail them to customers
- accept payments
- generate reports
